Anglais: The suffragettes : Emmeline Pankhurst (1858 - 1928)

Intro : "I am here as a soldier who has temporaly left the field of battle in order to explain what civil war si like when civil war is waged by women."

Emmeline Pankhurts uses the emotive words soldier, battle, war, in her speech in 1913 to embody the suffrage movement grueling campain. It also reflect her own courageaous conviction to speak out at any cost.

"Now, I want to say to you who thing women cannot succed, we have brought the gouvernment of england to this position that to face this alternative, either, women are to be killed or women are to have the vote."

Emmeline Pankhurst was an incredibly moving powerful speaker. Her speeches galvanised hundreds of thousands of women. It gave them a sense that they had a right to vote and their dignity as women was something they should work for and fight for.

One can fight people to crush them down and oppress them but ideas will survive anyway. One may take a life but one can't cancel ideas .Words and ideas can't be stopped whatever the number of human deaths.

Rebellion, Resistance : The death of Emmeline Davidson is the proof that they didn't let themselves go and they resisted hardly.

Legitimacy : She convinced lots of women to her cause and they mobilised themself to catch up their legitimacy.
