The economic difficulties urge of numerous Latin American to emigrate. They fetch some work in the United States to support their family in spite of the wall built by this country on the border with Mexico.

Many immigrants set off for the United States by hoping to have a better life and extend over the majority of the continent however most of the immigrants take refuge with California (it is in 1965 that begins to increase the number of the illegal migrants).

They choose this state because in spite of the urban landscape several aspects of the country look like in Cuba: the language, the culture and even people are similar.

" The notion of American dream fascinates the foreigners whose standard of living in their country is relatively low(weak), analyzes James Griffin, lecturer in law at the University from Michigan to the United States. Everybody can work, with or without papers. Salaries are often much superior to those than these people could win at their home. "

We have for example Ahmed's situation which left Yemen and decided to come to the United States to live the "American dream"

At the beginning, he came as many immigrants with a visa of three months, just the time to be made a little money. Then months and seasons spent and Ahmed stayed. His visa having expired, the man is considered as an illegal immigrant today.

Behind a serene appearance, certain wounds of past do not seem healed. He shows: " In Sanaa , in the Yemen, the life was difficult. We lived in a small house with my parents, my wife and my nine childrens. My thin salary did not allow me of all to feed them, he explains. Thanks to the money which I win here, my children can go from now on to the school and my family was able to move in a bigger house. "

With the money which he wins in the United States, Ahmed uses it to send it in the Yemen, in his family so that they can better live. It is case of most of the immigrants and one of the reasons of the immigration.
