                                SPACES AND EXCHANGES

I am going to talk about the idea of progress spaces and exchanges

First of all I would like to give a definition of : spaces and exchanges

An exchange is when we give in return for something received – this can be anything from money, ideas, gifts, medical or financial aid. Interactions and exchanges across the borders have become easier and faster. These different cultural, economic, sociological and language interactions have transformed and characterised our modern-day world – sometimes for better, sometimes for worse.

Among the whole of the propositions offered by the notion "spaces and exchanges", I chose to speak about immigration, mainly in the United States. "A nation of immigrants" describes the United States well since almost everybody there is either an immigrant or a descendant of immigrants.

To illustrate the notion, i have chosen the document with the iconographic document Myth or reality. it was drown by jeff parker in two thousand and six (2006). Is taken from a website ""

In this drawing, can see a field of Plymouth rock that welcomes people sailing on about, world say that they are not happy to welcome them.

They are not satisfied with the welcomes because they enter there equally, do not learn their language or do not assimilate in their culture.

Also may see that the Plymouth Rock are closing their camps with wooden tronks.

At the bottom of the document, there is a caption wich is said by one of the pilgrims in the boat

there are 2 parts

1st part: The indian's teretory

we can see woods in the backgroung a rock with Plymouth rock written on and Indians building a fence

2nd part: Coming from the sea, there's a boat full of pilgrims who want to land on the indian's territory

The caption informs the reader thaht the indians don't want tolet the pilgrim enter their territory .The reason given by the indians is that there are too many illegal immigrants in their country

The indian's accuse the immigrants of refusing to assimilate.

The autor wants to make anironic camparaison with what heppened in the dix septs th is still going on nowadays

In today's society the US has a wall along the USA mexican border
