INTRO

     I’m going to present the notion of Myths and heroes[pic 1]

    A myth is an old fictional story in which we can find fabulous characters such as                  gods. The term hero define first a semi-god, now it means a character who is   particularly courageous and does extraordinary things. [pic 2]

This is why I chose to talk about Nelson Mandela who had an extraordinary life            and thanks to his courage, became a myth.[pic 3]

How did the atypical character of Nelson Mandela evolved from a rebellious character to the hero?

I. HISTORY OF APARTHEID

              protest, first non-violent and then armed[pic 8]

II. MANDELA AS A RESISTER

Doc 2     rebellious since university[pic 9]

              studied laws instead wht he was expected for[pic 10]

              was part of the ANC/enemy of the government[pic 11]

              started by pacific protests/changed his mind and started an armed conflit[pic 12]

Doc 2,3     joined the ANC and protested[pic 13]

                arrested, spent 27 years in prison[pic 14]

III. THE HERO

Doc 3     his vision of freedom[pic 15]

Doc 2     was fighting for equality and freedom [pic 16]

              wanted to unit the country

              fighted against white supremacy but didn't wanted blacks to be over whites

              took an lot of risks[pic 17]

              the honors he received[pic 18]
