Myths and heroes

I’m pleased to meet you . I’m going to talk about the notion Myths and Heroes.

First, I would like to give a définition of this notion. A Myth can be defined as a traditional story of historical events, popular beliefs widespread all over the world. What about a hero ? A hero is a person who is admire or its courage, outsanding achievements or noble qualities. I think a Hero is any person really intent on making this better place for all people.

In oder to illustrate this notion, I have chosen to talk about Barack Obama.

My hero is Barack Obama. According to me, you don’t have to fight in a war to be a hero; you just have to be responsible, courageous, loving, trustworthy, respectful and caring. Barack Obama has all of these traits. He is my hero because he inspires not only me, but many others as well. He is the 44th President of the United States and he has lived in the White House in Washington, D.C for 8 years and represented the democrate party. I know he has what it takes to be the president. He has the brains, the ideas, the loving personality, and the will to be responsible and trustworthy. He’s a very sharp man. He always tries to make the best choice to improve the economy. He is the first African American President. He is outstandingly intelligent and doesn’t want what’s right for him; he wants what’s right for the world.

As president Barack Obama worked to promote economic recovery by signing the Americain recovery and the investiment acts and aimed to reduce the deficit by creating jobs. Environnement and energy here also a top priority issue for the president following the deep water plat-form desaster in the golf of Mexico. Obama set new safety regulations for offshore drylling. He adressed national health care woes by signing the affordable acts.

Indeed, when president Barack Obama took office in 2009, the wars of Affghanistan and Irak, had been going on the nearly a decade. He approved and added 21 000 troops sarge on Afghanistan and announced the US pullout from Irak. The Irak war officially ended on August 2010, with all troops to be home by the end of 2011. In early 2011, Obama comitted the US to NATOS Bombing compain in Libya. Obama has increased the number of dromns, targetting the terrorist acts arround the world.

Barack Obama inspires many people by the books he has written, the outstanding speeches gave, his community service and his belief that, together, we can all make the world a better place. He also inspires people by his determination to solve problems with other countries through negotiation instead of war.

He won the Nobel Peace Prize in October, 2009 for the hope that he will improve the global community. He was the fourth U.S. President to receive one, and the third President to win the Nobel Peace Prize while still in office.

Barack Obama has had an interesting life. He has overcome obstacles during his life with great success. His actions throughout his life are evidence that he wants to make the world a better place, influence many people to do the same and create a more peaceful world. After college, he had a chance to earn a lot of money, but instead chose to help rebuild communities. I believe that Barack Obama is a leader and a symbol of hope. Barack Obama is a hero, MY HERO!
