he big group Carrefour was founded in 1959 in Annecy by three french men : Marcel and Jacques Fournier and Denis Defforey.

Their headquarters are located in France, more specifically in the city of Massy.

The group Carrefour is globally developed (world scale). We have different officies in many coutries.

1500 supermarkets were referenced in 2016 through all continents.

The company employs 100 000 men and women and is, originally, specialized in mass distribution, even if the activities are very diversified nowadays.

The company provides households, professionals and individuals in general. The objective is to deliver many types of food goods : fruits and veggies, fresh, dry, canned, liquids, frozen… But also many household goods to clean, to shower, to take care of your pets.

We have some clothes, games, books, tools and even flowers too… And these are just a few examples.

By gathering all of them in just one place, peoples are satisfied. They can found all in one go.

Above that, we offer a large product range : vegan, halal, lactose intolerant and prices can be low cost or very expensive at a time.

According to the French newspaper ‘Le Figaro’, the Group is planning to make a merger with another one big company of mass distribution, Auchan.

The project would be called ‘Merlot’ and the goal is to become, with this move, one of the largest global distributors and at the same time, outdo the actual french leader and longtime rival, Leclerc.

We listen to the needs of the population. For example, with the national economic crisis and all the price increases, the Group has accepted to lock some of them so that they’re not impacted and customers can still buy. There is also the ‘ShrinkFlation’. To aware our clients that brands like Nestle, Lay’s, Magnum, Pampers, Mars… reduce quantities without lower the prices or even increase them ! We decide to put flyers in our shelves, just below, to notify our customers. The Carrefour company thinks it’s important to respect and help our clients to not fall in traps like this, made to rip off.

So our strategy is based on trust, rapidity and diversification.

Carrefour is quoted in the Stock Exchange and run by more than one person.

Cette entreprise propose une large variété de produits importés d'Asie que l'on ne peut trouver et acheter en grandes surfaces traditionnelles.

On observe aussi différentes méthodes de ventes, à la fois en BtoB et BtoC

-La vente directe en face à face en magasin.

-La vente via internet pour la restauration/traiteur avec la plateforme Deliveroo et UberEats.

L'entreprise se repose sur l'oligopole très restreint dont elle fait partie pour faire ses ventes.
