Intro:

The term brexit is used to refer to the UK exit scenario of the European Union. It is an expression created in the 21st century and comes from the contraction of two words, “britsh” and “exit”.

This subject was debated a lot in the United Kingdom and opposed a lot the political forces of the country.

But on June the twenty-third of 2016 this scenario became real and a referendum organized by DC asked a question to the population, this question was “ Should the United Kingdom remain a member of the European union or leave the European  Union ?

The British mostly voted for the United Kingdom to leave the European Union.

Moreover The result to this question was made by a small majority (about 52%). So they say YES to the Brexit, thus a favorable vote to the exit of the UK from the EU.

The brexit has been and still is a real shock for the entire world but even more for europe, and we don't now yet all the consequences that the brexit can made.

In this talk we gonna answer to the questions : to what extent can we say that brexit will change everithing with the european union and that it coul be dangerous.

So first of all we gonna talk about the origins of the brexit

secondly we gonna explane what is the brexit

and to finish we will gonna see the conséquences of the brexit.

II/ Explanation about the Brexit :

When the leaders of a country ask the citizens their opinion, they organize a "referendum". This is what happened on the last  June 23rd with this question asked to the British: should Britain remain in the European Union or leave it? Result: it was the "leave" that won it.

The British then voted at 51.9% for the exit of the United Kingdom to the European Union and at 48.1% for staying. 17.4 million people voted for the Brexit and 16.1 million voted to stay in the EU.  The Participation was above 72%, a record for the country. It's the British Prime Minister David Cameron who organized this referendum whereas he campaigned for the country's retention in the European Union, so he underwent an enormous turnaround, moreover he chose to Resign a few days after the result and was replaced by former Minister of Interior Theresa May.

Even if it is the leave who won, that does not mean that all the British want to leave the Union. Not all regions voted in the same way. England (except London) and Wales voted for the Brexit, while the majority of Scotland and Northern Ireland voted against it.

This vote is a huge shock for the country and the referendum leaves a divided country, with London, Scotland and Northern Ireland who want to stay in the EU, while the north of England or Wales Have largely voted for an outing. A petition signed by more than 350,000 people calls for a new referendum, while another, signed by 90,000 residents, demands the independence of London and want it's continued presence in the Eu.

Moreover the very next day the London Stock Exchange fell. Europe is shocked, the rest of Europe will now try to avoid any break-up of the bloc of now 27 members countries.

The are many reasons for this choice. If the desire to leave the Union has prevailed, it is partly because some Britans think that it is better for the United Kingdom to decide alone their own laws. Others also believe that being part of the European Union causes economic and social problems in the country, such as unemployment, for example..
