THEME 1 : SPACES AND EXCHANGES

(Espace et echange)

Hi, today i going to present the notion '' Spaces and exchanges '' , we studied this notion through (fousse) the graffitis and street design.

First of all, i goint to give you the definition of a graffiti and a street design: A street art it's a painting on a wall in the street made with a spray car, but it now allowed by the law. A street design is a design amenagment in the street.

So, we can wonder if the graffiti it art or vandalism ? and how street design can makes people exchanges between us ?

In the first part we are going to talk on the different art street and the exchanges that it create, in the second part we are going to talk on what grafitti is vandalism and too finish i going to give you my opinion !

I- A graffiti is sometimes beautiful, sometimes is ugly. When it ugly it degrade the city and degreative  of the environnement. We saw a video on this subject :

It's a owner of a London chemist shop who discovers an art piece by Banksy on his wall. Banksy is one of the best in this area in London, his grafitts always makes exchanges between people. So the art piece by Banksy on the owner wall worth three hundred thousand younds !! The graffiti represent three childrens and one of them is raising up a plastic bag as if it were a flag. It a beautiful art street and it makes exchanges between peoples, the people in the street can enjoy the graffiti and comment it.  We also see another street art by Banksy which represents three pigeons carrying anti immigration banners and his mural create again exchanges, some debate and people can give their opinion. People can also give their opinion between us thanks to the street design, for exemple Bench to bench, is a projet which consist to put one to one lot bench to form a trail, it making people communicate, spend more time outdoors and invest this area. All these street design has been installed in London to invite people to consider the street as their home, it creates friendly environnement and fill a neglected space so..to return on the graffiti

II- some Dictionary says graffiti is “unauthorized writing or drawing on a surface in a public place.” It includes the horrible scribble you see painted or scrawled on fences, bridges, in subways, on the sides of buildings, houses, and elsewhere (also called tagging). Most of it is childish scribble that looks like 5-year-olds have done it. But some of it is colorful and might look artistic if it hadn't destroyed someone's property.

And that is the problem with graffiti — it is “unauthorized”, as the dictionary says, and it destroys someone's property. It is a crime, like stealing, because it steals the property owner's right to have their own property look clean and nice. And it makes repairs costly for the property owner; graffiti scribblers never offer to pay the cost of repairing their destruction, which may cost the property owners thousands of dollars to repair or replace.

Opinion : To my mind the street art as Banksy do is not a vandalism because it embelish the street and thank to it people can exchanges between us also with the street design is a great  invention and people can do something when they get out.

But the graffitis is destruct someone property and that the probleme whit it.

To conclude we can says street design is the things that people need for exchanges and the street art embelish the city when it beautiful sure.
