I would like to talk about Marshall Bruce Mathers III also known as his stage name Eminem. He was born in October 17, 1972 in Saint Joseph, Missouri. Eminem was abandoned by his father at 18 months old. Eminem grew up with his mother in Missouri and few year later he go in Detroit in difficult area where cohabitation between white and blacks people was particularly tense, because of his skin color he suffered beating and other thing. At 10 he was beaten almost to death which put in a coma for some days which later gave one of these song called “Brain damage”. His Uncle Ronnie introduced him to rap with title like Reckless by Ice-T and others. Ronnie was his best friend and he die by suicide. Eminem at 14 he passion for writing and perform in amateur battle by the nickname M & M for Marshall Matter. A little time later he met Proof who will become his best friend. Eminem says one day to proof to come listen his music but proof looked at him as if he had lost his mind because he thought white people didn’t have the sense of rhymes and after Eminem has rap in front of him that is change the mind of proof about the white people. Eminem real career began when Jimmy Lovine the CEO of Interscope Record requested a demo tape of Eminem’s after he placed second at the 1997 Rap Olympic which has enabled him to record an album with Dr. Dre for this first real album called the Slim Shady LP, He has already made an album that only sold in Detroit called Infinite that does not work well. In his album the Slim Shady LP He reveals his alter ego called Slim Shady which is the dark part of him, Eminem admit himself he like to play on this concept of dual personality for giving it the ability to write any kind of song. Later he change his creature, Slim Shady, into a caricature.

I can’t tell you all about his life as it would be take a lot of time but in all this years he released seven albums solo and collaboration that pushed him into one of the top of the best-selling rapper album and one the most know. But it has shown that despite it was a life that had everything against him and he never dropped out and silenced the prejudice between white and black people in the rap and never gives up.
