Fiche n°1 : Spaces and exchanges 

        Today, i'm going to talk about the notion Spaces and exchanges which includes the territories , the notion of border between different country ( like with the border which seperates Mexico from the United States ).

This notion highlights the exchanges amoung coutries and an important subject : the immigration.

Right now, in the United States, there is a lots of exchanges who are very different from each other ; trade, social media, immigration, migration … They are very important for the globalisation and the development of the country.

But there is a type of exchanges who is very controversial in the present : as said previously it's the immigration.

A lots of peoples want to go to this country, the majority of the migrants come from Latine America and more precisely from Mexico. They all have the same goal : find a better life and a better way to get money and to live the American dream.

We are going to focus on the question is america still a nation of immigration ?

To respond to this interrogation, we are going to focus on three different document : a video about the construction of the new Texas bonder wall by CBS newx, a cartoon who show that the immigration is something that alway been in the states and finally a documentary about the mexicains immigrants who are not undeterred by the border security.

First of all we are going to focus on a video that show that the immigration is not something that the Americans want anymore , it show the construction of the wall between Mexico ans the United States.

At the beginning of the video, we've seen that the construction of this wall started in 2006 under the mandate of George W. Bush, at this year the length of this separation was 1300 km. The aim of this device is to stop the passage of the Mexicans migrants who want to go to the USA.

During this video we follow a guy from a border patrol, he explained the composition of the wall ; it's was made with steel, with mesh sections and concrete. He also explained that this wall is well garded with surveillance cameras and many guards posts and that it allow the country the stop 25 % of the immigration in the United States.

The fact that Trump want to consolidate the wall really show that this nation don't want the immigration in this country.

Thus, we have seen that in a way the USA are not a nation of immigration because they try to avoid it and stop it with the construction of a wall. The main reasons are because they think that the migrants are stealing their jobs.

But even if the country try to stop this immigration, this phenomenon is still present in the USA but now it's illegal.  

In second we've focus on the cartoon playmouth rock named «  The wall» created by Jeff Partier, this document hightlights the fact that the immigration is a big part of the USA.

The cartoon show the Pilgrims, those people came from England and fled their country because they were persecuted for their religions.

They travelled and arrived at Plymouth rock a very old colony from the United States. Those natives americans helped the prilgrims and accepted their presence in their territory. They also helped them to learn of how to produce their own food, how to be independant otherwise they would starved. But now, in the present the migrants are welcome with barbed wire fence, border patrols…
