« Your Hands Can Be Dangerous »

This picture was created by Matriz in Brazil for the heath minister. We can see that picture, is a health prevention poster.

The message « your hands can be dangerous, wash them with soap and water to keep bacteria at bay » that is to say the hands washing is important to preserve our health.

The red background insist on the concept of danger as well as the teeth and the color of the hand.

We can see that towards the edges and corners of the poster the red is mixed with black and that the colors used for painting on the hands is of contrasting colors on the background.

On the right there are too hands, they are painted, which represent a snake so we can asimulate this to bacteria have in your hands.

The colors on the hands are two shades of green to play on depth and realism.

We can also see that there are shades of yellow and orange, then to finish we see black on the outline to bring it out of the red background of the poster and white for the teeth of the beast that symbolizes all the bacteria on our hands.

At the bottom under the caption there are three logos the first on the left is the logo of the federal governement, the second is the State health surveillance center and the last one is the logo of the Rio governement.

For me, this poster is a good awareness poster about keeping your hands clean with children.
Since the message is clear and the illustration sends the message that it is dangerous to their health if they do not wash their hands properly.

Moreover, it is interesting because of its playful nature towards children and that it fits into a real problem of society which is the lack of hygiene of many people and that this has serious consequences nowadays.
