INTERNSHIP REPORT

I have done my internship in the Société Générale company. I have chosen a firm in the banking sector because it attract me since I was a child. The financial world is very interesting for me and I think I can work in this sector after my studies. My missions consisted to greet the customers at the agency and advice them. My internship lasted 4 weeks in past june.

The Société Générale company is an important firm in the banking sector. She's present in 67 countries. She's ranking in the 10 bigger European banks. In France she has 8,5 millions customers in about 2100 agencies. The firm offers services about saving, loan and insurance. In France her biggest competitors are Caisse d'Epargne, Crédit Agricole and BNP Paribas.

During my internship I was mainly affected at the reception but I develop many skills :  

• Advising customers about their problems or questions
• Receive customers and direct them to the office of them councillor
• I established an animation at the point of sale, he consisted to train the customers to use the Société Générale application and increase their autonomy
• I worked about the agencement of the point of sale, he is very important for the usability and the customer satisfaction
• I made an satisfaction study in total autonomy. I realised my questionary and I administered him to customers in the agency. Then I use the results to made an project to increase customer satisfaction this year
• I also watched an appointment with an councillor and a customer who bought an life insurance
• I've done trades with the technological support
• To finish I contacted customers by phone to relaunch them or/and propose a new offer which can interest them

I met some difficulties like customers who didn't speak french so I had to deal with and advice them in english. I also met customers who were unhappy and I had to calm them and help them, it was difficult to keep my calm but I think it was a good human experience which is going to serve me later.

At the appoitment with my tutor and my professor at the end of my internship, they were really happy and satisfied with my work. I receive congratulations of the staff members.

For me it was a very good experience and I think the internship has confort my choice : I'm going to work in commerce and it's possible that is in banking sector.
