The text intituled “What a great job” speak about Thomas Edison and Steve Job’s achievement. Thomas Edison is the one who invented the electric light bulb as well as the phonograph. Whereas Steve Jobs started Apple Computer. In the text, we can notice that the author compares these two fellows, more precisely about the way people reacted to their death. On that occasion, lots of people felt grief, sadness, sorrow. In fact, we can say that people are clearly influenced by these two men. That both men worked in various domains. But they were successful very early. Mr Jobs was someone determined, single minded. He was nicknamed “the world’s greatest inventor”. Unlike, Thomas Edison was not very much interested in money since as he was a genius, what he was keen on was inventing things. Steve Jobs was absolutely adored by people. It is to be said that Mr Edison will remain a sheer genius, someone high above the crowd whereas. It is to be added that myths or heroes can influence people’s opinion and careers.

Indeed, a society is based on founding myths, a collective identity… A society depends on heroic men and women and further creates new role-models people get their inspiration from. The concept of myths and heroes then serves a more profound purpose in our culture than mere fictional stories. However, even if you may get some inspiration from mythical stories and iconic figures, in the end you will have to face reality and do your best to make your dream come true.
