Spaces and exchanges

We are going to speak about the notion « Spaces and exchanges » first of all i would like to give a definition of these notion « Spaces and exchanges » means the interactions, communication between men and different societies.Our world is built on the exploration and conquest of new spaces. We can say that: the concept characterized our modern day with the different cultural, economic, sociological and language interactions. So we can wonder: How this notion can have an impact on the human’s life ?

We will try to answer this question in a first part with the positive effect of this phenomenon and in a second part we can speak of fatal impacts of this international interaction on our society.

I)The positive effects of this phenomenon

A) This human is open to the world

Latin Post’s article « World cup tournament brings together people of all cultures »

-We know that the sport in a personal scale allows people to feel good, to feel proud or satisfied of themselves , there is a rush of adrenaline and people can get rid out their stress, tension.

-The sport has positive effects for the social cohesion.

-This article tells us that the football world cup has the power of bringing people together, bonded by the same goals. The friendships that are forged, help the rebirth of patriotism.

-The 2014 World cup in New York is a great symbol of the social unit. It represents the Melting Pot because all the cultures are represented. People came from all around the world to celebrate the same even.

-The rivals put aside their resentment, even if it is just temporary the bitter feelings are rejected in the excitement of the tournament.

-Some students after the high school don’t know what to do in the future .

-« Exchange » with people all around the world is beneficial for the people, on the psychologic plan because it allows you to see other cultures , to become more open-minded and to think differently. -Young people want to discover new things that’s why they do a gap year. The gap year is a year between high school and university. The gap year students take a break during a period and most of the time decide to travel in order to expend their horizon, to taste a real life or to learn language. - Indeed we have the testimony of Jennifer Davis and Christopher Dobbing. They both made a gap year.

- For example Jennifer find her way by helping a little girl.

B) Social cohesion by technology

Wael Ghorin in the New-York Times’ article

-Exchanges means also technology. Indeed we are more and more connected thanks to the media, Internet and social networks. This new « life’s style » allows people from all over the world to fight for the same cause and to be reunited.

-We can talk about the role of the social network in this type of situation with the example of Wael Ghorin.

-He is the administrator of the Facebook page « We are all Khaled Said » dedicated to a young Egyptian man whose death under police custody in the Sidi Gaber area of Alexandria on 6 June 2010.

- It contributed to growing discontent in the weeks leading up to the Egyptian Revolution of 2011.
