Places and forms of power

Power is the ability to lead or to do something, like a president who leads his country. They are many different forms of power, like economic power, the power of justice, military power and media power.

Have the United States power ?

Is the world under American influence ?

Mc Donald is an example of American influence.

This is the company that invests the most in advertissement.

For example the advert who was painted in 1973. This advert shows a clown, the mascot of Mc Donald's.  It looks childisch and it was designed to attract kids to eat at the restaurant.

The clown is wearing  a big red and yellow suit for fun. The message is Mc Donald's produces natural food.

But Mc Donold's has the reputation of selling unhealthy food like nuggets, chips, and hamburgers. This food contains a lot of fat, salt, and chemicals. If you eat to much junk fook, you consume too much sugar and you can get fat or you can be overweight. Sugar is very bad for your teeth and they can rot.

Eating junk food provokes diabetes, if your blood sugar level is to high. If you are too fat you can catch heart disease, because your cholesterol level is too high. You could suffer from digestive problems because of to much salt.

People prefer going to a fast-food restaurant, than to making home made food.

People are conned into thinking that junk food is healthy.

In fact, obesity is the second cause of United States mortality, after smoking.

A journalist made a challenge : eat all the time at McDonald's

At the start of the challenge, he looks really excited. He starts with a breakfast and he feels good.

On the second days, he orders a super-size meal, but he can't finish it, and he is sick in his car.

The third day is not a good day, be

cause he fells sick and he says it's like when he stopped smoking.

After three weeks, he can't breathe and he has heart-burn. He feels awful and wants to stop.

At the end of the challenge, it's hard to breathe when he climbs stairs.

As a conclusion,, this advert  is lying, it is a manipulating children.

Eating at Mc Donald's is bad for your health.

 Mc Donald's is an example for the United States influence but there are others examples as  Americain serie that are broadcast in the world.
