- Le passé simple est préférable pour décrire une scène dans un passé lointain.

3. She was wearing a long white dress and carrying a suitcase.

Elle était vêtue / habillée d'une longue robe blanche et portait une valise.

3) Traduisez les phrases suivantes en anglais

1. Comme je descendais du bateau, je vis mon oncle qui m'attendait.
