Without rejoining the EU, the UK adopted a more pragmatic and cooperative approach, aiming to reduce trade barriers, improve stability, and better respond to shared global challenges.                 In my opinion, this post-Brexit reset is a realistic and positive move. Strengthening cooperation with the EU allows the UK to limit the economic damage of Brexit while keeping its political independence. It also makes sense on security issues, where European countries face common threats. Overall, this strategy shows a more pragmatic and responsible approach to the UK’s role in Europe.
2. In 2025, Canada faced a severe housing crisis, marked by a lack of affordable homes and rapidly rising prices. In response, the federal government introduced stricter regulations to limit real estate speculation and reduce the impact of foreign investment. The goal was to make housing more accessible and affordable for Canadian residents.                 From my point of view, the housing crisis in Canada is a serious problem. Many people struggle to find affordable housing. The government has introduced new regulations to limit speculation and foreign investment, which is a positive step. However, these measures are not enough to solve the problem quickly.
3. In 2025, Australia intensified its push for Indigenous recognition, placing reconciliation at the center of political debate. Discussions on constitutional reform and land rights reflected growing efforts to acknowledge Indigenous peoples and address long-standing inequalities.                 In my opinion, this reconciliation was a positive step, as it helped reduce conflicts and promote peace. It was very important that politicians tried to address this issue by debating it in Parliament, showing a real determination to find solutions. Moreover, recognizing Indigenous rights can strengthen social cohesion and build a more fair and inclusive society for future generations.
4. In 2025, India strengthened its position as a major scientific power. Thanks to a significant increase in public investment, the country reached record levels in key sectors such as space research and renewable energy. This momentum shows India’s ambition to become a leading global actor in innovation and technology, while supporting its economic and energy development.                 I personally believe that India’s strong investment in science and renewable energy is a smart and forward-looking decision. By focusing on space research and sustainable technologies, the country is strengthening its global influence while also addressing important issues like climate change and economic growth.
5. In 2025, New Zealand became one of the most closely watched countries for climate adaptation. After experiencing extreme weather events, authorities were forced to rethink urban planning and improve disaster preparedness. As a result, New Zealand has become a key example of how nations can adapt to climate change and protect their communities in the face of growing environmental challenges.                 I personally believe that is New Zealand an important test case for climate adaptation because the country  has emerged as one of the most closely watched nations after extreme weather events, forcing authorities to rethink urban planning and improve disaster preparedness.

Commonwealth newspapers bring together the press media of the countries that are members of this organization. They play an important role in informing citizens about national and international news, while also addressing common themes such as politics, the economy, human rights, and development. These newspapers reflect the cultural diversity of Commonwealth states such as the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, India, and some Caribbean countries.         Small states such as Malta and some Caribbean are deliberately preparing for job displacement caused by AI while positioning their workforce to benefit from productivity gains and reskilling opportunities. There is a strong consensus that AI should augment, not replace, human workers, guiding strategies toward human-centered development.        I personally believe that is smart and responsible, as it prepares workers for change while ensuring that AI supports rather than replaces humans. It balances innovation with social protection.
