Today, i will talk about the notion “myths and heroes”. A yth can be defined as a story about gods or heroes, it can be a popular belief or a tarditon or a false notion. A hero can be a mythological figure, a person who is admired for his or her achievements, a superhero or maybe a role model or an icon. Two chapters correspond to this notion : “Black is beautiful” and “Ordinary heroes”. Wich this notion we can ask this question “What is really a heroes?”. First I will talk about the fictional heroes, and in a second part about the ordinary person and leader.

First, a hereo can be a super-heroes, in fact, everybody know a fictional heroes, her name was “super-heroes” for exemple they are Spiderman, Superman, Catwoman. They are not real person with real name and real identity. Moreover, fiction heroes have powers, abilities weakness or weapons. The purpose of this type of heroes is to help people and save lives or cityThe super-heroes was create by someone else, they can’t live in real life beacause they are fictional and they are just characters in movies or books. For me, the super-heroes are not really heroes because they are not in the real life and they don’t really save life or the city.

Second, a heroes can be a ordinary person. For exemple in New York, a man save a stranger from an oncoming train and he receives high honors. Indeed, in a New York subway station, and Wesley Autrey a construction worker saved Cameron Hollopter’s life. Cameron felt on the tracks and Wesley saw him and jumped to rescue him. He lied on top of him and the train went over them. Wesley was considered like an heroe because he save the life of Cameron. Wesley received for his action the Bronze madallion and 15000 dollards. He overcome difficulties because he’s determined and courageous. Moreover, a heroe can also be a icon, like Martin Luther King was. In fact, he was a leader who struggle for the liberty and equality of black people. MLK was a pascifist, he promoted non-violent actions. It’s the leader of the Pacifist Movement who organied sit-ins and freedom marched gathering thousands of black people to protest against discrimination. He obtain the desegragation of school in 1945 and the “separate but equal” clause was declared unconstitutional. MLK was awarded the Nobel Prize for Peace, and in 1986 a national holiday was created to honour him. MLK was an heroe beacause he change the life of many black in USA. Further there are also Malcom X, is the leader of “Black Power Movements” who using violent actions. This movements have the same aims that the Pacifist Movement who are the fight against discrimination.

To conclude, in my opinion, the superr-heroes are not really heroes because they are not in the really life and they don’t really save lifes. But Martin Luther King, Wesley Autrey and Malcon X are heroes because they give their life to save someone or the humanity. They are courageous and brave.
