I'm going to present the notion entitled Myths and Heroes. But, what is a Myth? It's a traditional story concerning the early history of people or explaining a natural or social phenomenon, and typically including supernatural beings or events.

However, a hero is a person of superhuman qualities who is admired for his or her courage or outstanding achievements. But, nowadays, a hero is someone who is courageous. They help in saving people or society.

We can ask, “How can Myths and Heroes influence people's careers?” We're going to try to answer this question with the helps of icons of nowadays.

Firstly, we're going to see how these people came from nothing and have arrived here today.

Secondly, we're going to see how these personalities can influence the people all around the world.

First, we're going to present the celebrities. Oprah Winfrey is a big successful woman. Indeed, Media Mogul, philanthropist, and child advocate, we can say Oprah has succeeded in all.

But, let’s retrace her success story, how did she become successful?

In the 1980's, Oprah became the first African American TV correspondent on WTVF-TV. In 1985, she got her own show renamed "The Oprah Winfrey Show". From this moment, she began to be very famous, she's broadcast in 144 countries, she has her own radio station "Oprah radio", her website "Oprah.com.

Her raise to success is impressive, even though, she was just a correspondent. Today she's one of the most influential people in the USA. Lot's of people love her, and want to be exactly like her. It's a part of her that shows she’s a modern hero.

But, she's not the only one. Indeed, Justin Bieber, the icon of young people has gone from rags to riches and now he's a universal star. Joseph Harker shows us that Justin Bieber deserves it. Born to a teenage mum, brought up largely by his grandparents after his dad exits the scene. He began to be famous with his early home videos. Today, he's an icon for all young people all around the world. He has films and programmes that are dedicated to him. The film "never say never" is about "never giving up hope", related to his rise to success.

Then, Thomas Edison and Steve Jobs. The two businessmen, who had only one idea in mind, and that made their success their fortune. Steve Jobs admired so much Thomas Edison because the two men had many qualities in common.

After that, normally simple things have the most success. .

The two had a unusual determination, and wanted to conduct their projects to the end; and they got there. Steve Jobs was an orphan and he was adopted by a lower middle class family. He dropped out from school and he didn’t graduate from university. He had nothing to help him become successful, he started from scratch. Steve Jobs revolutionised the world of computers with, Apple. Over the years he climbed the social ladder.

Now we have seen how these people began their career as celebrities, and their rise to success. We're going to see now how they can influence people’s careers.
