- Hi! Today, I’m here for present the myth and heroes of the japan. In a first part, I will introduce you the heroes of japan and in a second part his myths. First of all, it’s important to know that for Japanese People, it’s the nation in first. And so, everyman who sacrifice himself for the country be a hero, for example the soldiers. but today I want explain two types of heroes: the ninja and the samurai.

- Ninja is a modern Japanese term used to designate certain category of spies or mercenaries but the real term is shinobi, they exist since the 15th Century. the ninja's duties include spying, sabotage, infiltration and assassination. You can be found very few names because, they act in the greatest secret, and of course in order to protect their real names and that of their employers. They have many equipment’s and weapons to help them to accomplish their mission, all is prepared to be as discrete as possible, the martial arts (ninjutsu), the clothes and weapons. Here are the most famous weapons:

the Shuriken: it’s a throwing weapon in a metal, he looks like a star, he was used in order to hurt, divert attention; he can't kill in one shot unless he's thrown into the head.

kunai: it's a throwing knife with a ring at the end of the handle.

but the ninja is not just a hero. Since 1870, some legends say they could become invisible or else special abilities. Todays the ninja as most know to be the perfect spy than the mercenary of the 15th century. Now for a lot of people a ninja is impossible to see, impossible to hear, fast and efficient.

- Samurai ere the military nobility and officer castle of medieval and early-modern japan, in opposite of the ninja, one samurai is not discrete but it's a soldier with a big armor, he doesn’t want be discrete or invisible but just be one man of a death army. In order to be indestructible a take the victory, the samurai have a big armor and body weapon’s:

the katana: it's a sharp sword will cut anything, it's long and thin, the sharpest are made in steel.

The samurai, since the 8th century, was a symbol of a warrior.

- Many legends exist in japan but i have choose to speak briefly about 2 legendary animals:

- the Baku is an animal who looks like a tapir but he is special, he eats all’s bad dreams and dark thoughts

- and the most famous, dragons, they are considered deities, in Japan, they are not bad, dangerous but not aggressive. they are different to a European dragon, she looks like a snake with legs but without wings, they symbolized the luck and success.
