Once upon a time, there was a young man named Eren desperately hoping that one day something or someone would break his emotional numbness. But first, let me recount where does his numbness come from. The pleasures of bullying. We yearn to see the LGBT community as accepted as it can be. Yet, Conservatives and less than smart people still think it’s against nature’s will. With that being said, we need to take a step back. The following story almost happened a decade ago. Eren was an innocent child, born in a foreign French island. He flew here with his parents in order for them to sit in a weeding. His parents found jobs and they decided to stay in France. Eren grew up. By the age of 12 he started to learn what racism and discrimination mean.

Born in a catholic family, christened as Joseph in order for him to be holy.

Yet, some used to consider his life as a sin and others as a path to follow. He decided that this cross will embody something symbolical. Eren has always pondered religion and his narrowing relationship with it. You might ask yourself what his reasons are to do so. Eren is a bisexual young man. He grew up in a complicated family. His grand-parents did not care that much about him, in fact not at all. His sister betrayed his parents and him. He always has been feeling left alone in this world. His high school memories are filled with magnificent and wonderful moments with his true friends but also with pitiful, merciless words and junctures that Eren had to endorse during his entire scholarship. Bullied by every single person, he went through hell. Eren tried to kill himself twice, he couldn’t bear it any longer. What has he done to deserve that kind of treatment from others? Nothing, he wasn’t even his true self. In a world where our societies only praise white heterosexual men, it is difficult to be different, to embrace ourselves and shine. Eren felt the need to be approved by everybody and anybody. You may be wondering why I’m telling you his story. I want you to feel how devastating a childhood can be. Word and actions do matter. Nonetheless we all acknowledge it, do we educate our children to be careful enough? To advise and not judge? To be kind and not mean? Why do we educate our little girls in a way that put them underneath men? Why is it that men are so frustrated by women? Why do we need to put our differences first? Why do we reject humans? We believe there’s another planet with life on it. Yet, if it were true, what would we do? We’re far away from able to glorify our humanity and we want to discover “aliens”? Isn’t it unlogic and humorous though?

Let’s go back to Eren.
