  1. A) The installation is located on the lawn of Parliament Square in London.

The installation was done the 19th september of 2016

b) This place was chosen because it’s a traditionnal tourist post, moreover it’s in front of the Parliamant, a way of militating against the English parliament.

This date was chosen because on September 19th, 2016 the United Nations General Assembly uanimously adopted the New York Declaration for refugees and migrants New York Declaration reaffirms importance of international refugee regime.

2) The project was initiated by activists

3)a) This installation is particular because the Square transformed into graveyard.

Is particular because they are not graves in the cemetery but lifejackets .

The graveyard supposed represent all the victims dead while the journey.

Moreover activists who laid 2500 lifejackets that the refugees who all lot theirs lives , used during a dangerous journey from Turkey to Chios, the greek island.

3)b) We can say that the use of life jacket is ironic because a lifejacket is supposed to save people whereas here the 2500 lifejackets represent the dead people using this lifejacket during their crossing.

4) Ahmad Al-Rashid was one of volunteers who set up the installation but Ahmad Al-Rashid who is survived this journey from his hometown of Aleppo and is about to start master’s degree.

5) Yvette Cooper is a labour party politician who has been the member of parliament.

She hope for thanks to the UN summit ought to be an opportunity for countries work together and help each other so that there are no more refugees or migrants dead in the world or in daily pursuit.
