First of all I would like to give a definition of «Exchange». It’s a continuous movement or circulation. It includes all type of exchanges : people, trade or media. A society can be approached from the point of view of its cohesion and openness, which raises questions about its place in the world. The geography of commercial channels and networks of influence, but also the discovery and conquest of new land constitute new cultural areas which often transcend the borders of a States. The border which limit two spaces will sometimes seen as a protection against the other or otherwise the opening to a larger space. The space can evolve and take different forms. However, we decided to focus our work on the tourism. The concept «Spaces and Exchanges» illustrates the theme of the discovery of new type of tourism different of the ideas received. so it implies the discovery of new territories, the major waves of immigration, the fact of transgressing the frontier and finally the travel which involves the search of new experiences or a sense of community . Today we see that despite a very uneven level of development, the world has never been such integrated. Every people want to discover new culture, new landscape. We are witnessing the development of certain forms of unusual tourism.

So, what makes people travel and leave their country ?

To my mind that seems illustrate the notion is a comprehension oral about space tourism, a text extract from Paradise News of David Lodge and a extract of New York Times about tourism or voyeurism.

The first document is a comprehension oral about space tourism. Space tourism was designed by Dennis Tito. He went into space on April 28, 2001 and was thus the first tourist in space. He had already had a long physical preparation. The cost of his day in space was $ 20 million so he had to find sponsors to find money so that this day is historic. He was fascinated by the different planets. The advantage of this tourism is seeing the planet from a distance. Discover the joys of weightlessness. The disadvantage is that it is a tourism too expensive so not envisageable for the moment.

We can make a link between the document and the notion because it is the tourism of space is an atypical tourism. I like this document because it's a form of tourism to which few people could have thought.

The second document is a text from Paradise News by David Lodge. This text tells us about a couple. The woman is an addict to tourism, she loves to travel all over the world contrary to the man who does not at all agree with this type of tourism, he says that all types of tourism abuses the planet and destroys it . He is therefore totally opposed to tourism and does not understand why people travel while his wife travels to discover new cultures, new landscapes, new policies and also simply to rest and be entertained. It describes tourism as a worldwide phenomenon. The man, Sheldrake is quite provocative in his remarks.

Finally the last document was my favorite because it was for me the most important and the most shocking. It was a form of tourism that I did not know and I still do not understand why people use this type of tourism, but I will try to explain it. This text is taken from the New York Times and talks about Slum Tourism and Voyeurism. Slum is a poor neighborhood where the living conditions are appaling, people have no houses, no comfort. Mickael Cronin decides to go see the Slum because he finds it more authentic to discover a country. This type of tourism is booming because many people like him wish to discover the tourism under a new approach, to have new sensations. However, the people who go to see the inhabitants of Slum have much more means than the latter. I find it unacceptable that people pay (it's an inexpensive form of tourism) to go and see people in need. We can link this document with an oral understanding on the same subject that shows us what the inhabitants of its Slum think, they think they are like circus animals.
