THE IDEA OF PROGRESS

The science, there are so many questions about that.

Robotic , it's help or danger for making? It's a possible futur for human race ? New technologies , a connected society with advantages and drawbacks a future threat ? Genetic can help recherches of genes ? All of this questions have the same problematic : SHOULD WE FEAR PROGRESS ? We are going to study it.

In the first part,the progress is a good thing and the progress can help the society and in the second part we will see the danger of progress.

There are differents sorts of robots and they have advantages :

They can replace men when it's so dangerous for humans.( for exemple the radioactivity)

During this year we have seen the « accompany project » this project have for goal to create some robots wich can stay at home with elderly people.

The elderly people want to live independently in their homes ,this robot will provide assistance on each day tasks and complited simulation.

This robot isn't just a machine , it's a social robot.

In the project , people will have a tablet to interact with the robot.

The elderly people can have real interactions because the robots can speach and talk. This project is very attracting because it can prevent people having to go into homes.  Elderly people won't be alone at home. There is not just rob but the artificial intelligence. We have seen the video « reading the mind »in this video there was a men who is speaking about AI and he said that « the artificial intelligence can really help people ».

One of his friend have lose control of his fingers aand thanks to this AI , now he can manipulate to some degrees a laptop computer, it can possible because his fingers are connect with a sencor.Thanks to the AI ,peoples who are paralyzed can now play video games and write emails for exemple

Now we will see the danger of this progress.There is many drawbacks,look like :

We have seen  the trailer of the movie « I,Robot ».The movie shows a vision of the world if robots can take the power. A human can't fight a robot . A robot doesn't think with emotions or feeling,it just  do what it supposed to do.

In the other documents, Stephen Hawking  said «the developpment  of full AI could spell the end of the human race »

In conclusion,the progress can be something good with the hospital, househelp robots. But they can be a real problem if the society lost the control of them.They are not humans , they don't think like us. So we can progress, it's in the history but we must to becarful with that.
