Introduction :

I choose to speak about John Lennon and his song Imagine.

John Lennon was a famous singer at the twentieth century due to his group : the Beatles.

He created "Imagine" for protest against war and violence of the Vietnam war and racial segregation.

Part one : Focus on John Lennon

John Lennon was born on october nineteenth, nineteen forty in Liverpool, England. Before the Beatles this group was called : Johnny And The Moondogs, The Nerk Twins, The Silver Beetles etc.. He create « The Beatles » in nineteen sixty. This group was composed of Paul McCartney, George Harrison, Johnny Hutchinson and John Lennon. The Beatles were an English rock band.

In nineteen sixty-four, the Beatles became the first British band to break out great success in the United States.

In June nineteen sixty-five, Queen Elizabeth II of England announced that the Beatles would be named a Member of the Order of the British Empire.

In eight december, nineteen eighty he has been killed by a crazy fan named Mark David Chapman. John Lennon's assassination had, and continues to have, a profound impact on pop culture.

Part two this song « Imagine »

Lenon realized thant the softer approach would bring the song to a wider audience, who hopefully would listen to his message.

He got the initial idea from "Grapefruit" a poem written by his wife for denonce the Vietman war and racial segregation in USA.

Imagine, John Lennon's most famous song, was voted Britain's favourite song of all time. It is an idealistic song about peace and the hope for a better world. "Imagine all the people living life in peace". The song was a big hit in 1971, and again in 1980 when Lennon was murdered in New York.

The former president of America; Jimmy Carter, said : "Imagine is a song listen equally nearly that national anthem".

Conclusion :

Imagine is and rest a famous song in tribute to John Lennon and this idea for create a better world.

He would have liked that peace and love in the world.

I have chosen to speak about this because I like this song and I think that John Lennon had reason for express this opinon.

Peace and love are better thing in the world and make a life better for everyone.

We are same people, why to discriminate ?
