The communist Manifesto

Writing essays, example→ Which groups of actors identifies Marx in his class concept? Which (social and economical) relations exist between these groups?

Which historic-empirical subject area had Marx in mind and how relevant is Marx for an explanation of contemporary society? Explain why.

How does Marx conceptualise the nexus between the social/economic position of an individual and it’s political views? How convincing is his concept?

What is the main reason for social inequality in the capitalist society according to Marx? Explain why. (historically it has always been inequality, distribution of wealth, means of production, classes, struggle (societal changes, progress, all relates to people). Economic position / political views → class consciousness.)

→ explain contemporary society, social issues etc., around 3 ideas.

→ possibility to compare between Marx and Weber for example.

→ cleat statement on a certain topic in a critical and reflecting way. Find a tittle and stick to it consequently.

Text discussion:

→ more production, less value.

→ trade was introduce in 19th society.

→ new economic freedoms to other people.

→ bourgeoisie became powerful.

→ abolition of private property, radical rupture with traditional property relation – communist revolution.

→ internal expansion of social capitalism. Expand it to others countries. Social life became more and more capitalist.

Marx connects social theory with critique of capitalism. He focuses on the analysis of the processes of surplus value creation in the economy and labour.

Based on the analysis of theses capitalist ground structures, Marx developed a theory of conflict that had the aim to answer the question of the separate large group of society.

That follows a theory of emancipation and actin and the question, how the capitalist society can be changed.

→ power from capital.

→ remove concept of religion and family, not so much structure of hierarchy.

→ bourgeoisie and proletariat.

→ working relationship are also defined personal relationships.

→ capitalists makes all the money and do zero work… unfair system, whole majority works and lives in bad conditions.

Which main theoretical elements/dimensions can you identify for the explanation of those inequalities? 

What are the main differences and similarities between the concepts of Weber, Davis/Moore and Marx?
