Lieux et forme de pouvoir !

The manslaughters committed by means of a firearm are from twenty to thirty five times higher in the United States than in countries with a comparable standard of living, there has been 11 mass shooting in the Usa in the past years, eight of which happened in 2012. that number of shootings drew the attention on this phenomenon, particulary with the massacre of Adam Lanza last December in Newton Connecticut.. But why is the mortality rate by firearm so high in Use compared with the other country ?

We will see some examples of them.

These shooting took place all over the country in 10 states from Connecticut to California. They all occurred in public places such as school, a coffee, a university, a cinema

the killers were 19 years old for youngest and 59 years old for oldest , but they average age is 33. Except some cases, the shootings are often committed by solitary killer and often they committed suicide before the arrest

Most killers used semi automatic weapons or assault weapons which are usually used at war, but the most horrible is a bulk of these weapons are obtained legally thanks to the 2nde Amendment which authorize the possession of arms for everyone !

The most lethal was carried out by Adam Lanza, indeed he killed 20 children and 6 adults. . In most cases the victims didn't know killers.

The killer's motive and not really clear. It seems that two of them

had no personal problems with their killer. What is striking however is that they all had mental problems with affectations ranging from paranoid, schizophrenia . The most strinking is that these people had the right to buy firearms

then , few times ago, a children who is 5 years old opened fire on his sister of 2 years old with his own rifle, made especially for his height !

Firearms are thus connected to the American political history. They are also bound to the history of the acquisition of the territory. For a long time, it was not indeed a question for the United States of defending its borders

We can conclude that there is a real culture of arms in United States which is very important, the possession of arms constitute the history of America: the first country which authorizes weapons and arms. But, it’s a fact there are more and more shooting with more and more victims and more and more young children. The last mass shooting was the most destructive, and politicians like the president Barack Obama reacted about this event. To avoid this terrible accident, he tries to vote a law for the gun control but the opinion hasn’t the same thought and this proposition was rejected by the Senate. This no acceptation shows that Americans aren’t ready to adopt a law against arms; I think that because the possession of arms is a real part of American’s life and despite of massacres, arms are synonymous of liberty of security for the majority of US citizens.
