• It has been expanding through the years and is still expanding today. Thanks to the rapid growth and development of the use of its by more and more people and a change in people’s way of life ecommerce has developed very quickly and efficiently.

• In Asia the powerful profit generating MNC Alibaba appeared and hasn’t ceased to grow since its beginnings

Conséquences :

• The more ecommerce will develop, the fewer physical shops there will be
• The more ecommerce will develop, the more physical shops will close down
• The more ecommerce will develop, the more creative physical shops will have to be to find new strategies and attract more consumers.

• When you have ordered a jacket and it doesn’t fit you, you will have to send it back either for fue or you will have to pay for the shipping costs
• Physical shops can be crowded whereas ecommerce is newer crowded
• If the shipping costs are free, it could be cheaper to order online than buying in shops

• The growing presence of ecommerce in the USA results in the conversion of shopping outlets into eshops online. This generates some job losses and a change in shopping habits.
• But not all shoppers are ready to shop online and prefer physical stores.
