1/ Company’s description

Company’s hitsory

I am a part time student, two days at school and three days at work. The name of my company is DEVAUX FILLARD HABITAT; it is a limited liability company with a capital of € 5,000.00. It is situated in Voglans near Chambéry. It is a company of joiners.

It was created in 2012 by Nelson da Silva. This is a recent business and the manager David Malbranche considers developing it.

Its main activity is the manufacturing and the installation of glazing.

They have 4 employees and 1 part time student. Here is an organization chart showing you the way the company is organized. (See enclosed document).

1.2 Company’s environment

1.2.1 Financial aspect:

The company Devaux Fillard Habitat represented a turnover of € 204,255 in 2012. This is an amount that shows that we achieved our sales targets, which is extremely good for a one-year-old company.

1.2.2 Commercial aspect

Product and services

The company sells windows and installs them.

In fact, we buy materials to our suppliers who deliver them to our sub-contractor Devaux Fillard and then when the windows are made, we install them.

Customers:

All our customers are individuals.

Customers are in Savoie, most of them in around Chambéry in ski resorts (such as Val d'Isère).

The suppliers:

We work with suppliers in the following areas: glazing, carpentry, aluminum, stainless steel, PVC and wood. Our transportation costs with our suppliers are varied. We also work with temping agency Illico, it finds qualified and efficient personnel four our business.

Competitors

Many competitors are present in Voglans. As an example we can mention competitors Romanet - Portals Seed - Record Automatic Doors.

All these competitors are specialized in designing and manufacturing aluminum frame and glazing which they install.

We work for small sites which can be a disadvantage but also an advantage.

2/ Assignments in the company

2.1 Administrative tasks

I do administrative tasks every day. I begin with suppliers documents (delivery notes, receipts, invoices), I do the control in the bank, I make the payments, email and I send invoices to customers.

2.2 Accounting tasks

For accounting I work together with the accounting company where I do the Control of NAT, the input purchases and sales.
