News Paper : big brother's watching our school

One week ago, the headmaster had a strange idea : putting some cameras in the school. Inspired by London’s streets monitoring by CCTV cameras, he wants to make our high school safer. This declaration creates a debate, the parents and the pupils are not totally agree with these idea met the headmaster and the teachers in a meeting to talk about it.

The headmaster explains to the parents how with these cameras he hope to make the school cleaner and safer, « I’d like to prevent the attack and avoid antisocial behavior, our school has been the victim of many robberies and attacks recently, we want to fight it and make our pupils more in security and comfort » he says. The parents and the pupils have another eye on this subject « I don’t want my child feel uncomfortable in her school, be scrutinized create an oppressed feeling ! It’s an infringement on pupil private life » says a mother, « a school is not a Jail !We are not criminals, we don’t want to be spyon every time ! We want our freedom. Moreover it’s very expensive ! » says a teenager. For Mr. Bob, a science teacher, there pros and cons. « I agree cameras can make our school safer but it’s dangerous for the children who want to do stupid things, before we could stop them in the school, now they’ll go away to do this and nobody will stop them ! I think that putting more supervisors could be a better idea ! Children will be more comfortable in the school. ».

After a long debate, teachers, pupils, parents and the headmaster found a compromise they will install cameras only outside, in this case they will be able to monitor us but only when we are outside , thereby they can skim and so to prevent uneasy feeling and fear in our school. So be careful young pupils, big brother is gazing you !
