Myths Et Heroes

I am going talk about myths and heroes

First of all I would like to give a definition of this notion: A myth can be defined as a story about gods or heroes, it can be a popular belief or a tradition or a false notion. A hero can be a mythological figure, a person who is admired for his or her achievements, a superhero or maybe a successful person.

This year in class we studied several documents about myths and heroes and in particular the successful career.

We can wonder in what ways can someone be considered as a hero ?

First, I'm going to show you that we can considerer a people as a hero for his heroics achievements .Secondly, I shall explain thaht people could be a hero for cultural and political reasons and finally with the business.

First of all, I think we can consider a person who did heroics achievements for the society as an hero because thanks to this persons that certain important things were able to be improve.They are heroes for their courage, their generosity or them commitments. In class, we studied several heroes of this type like Gandhi, Jean-Moulin, Rosa Parks and Martin Luther King. Gandhi was a lawyer who fought against the British colonial system and for the independance of India. He is pacifist and he embody peace. Jean-Moulin était un célèbre résistant qui a lutté courageusement contre le régime Nazi. Rosa Parks and Martin Luther King fought together against racism and segregation between white and black people in America. To me, this people are the most important hero because thanks to them, the world have evolved and the human condition improved

A person can be also considered as a hero thanks to what she brought in the cultural and political domain. Indeed we studied several people important for it. First of all in polycallls leaders, we can think of Obama who is the first black president of the USA and he symbolize a progress for the tolerance and Simone Weil which fought to defend women rights and allowed their emancipation thanks to very important reforms as the contraception and the abortion. These people represent choices important for the society. Moreover, certain people as Usain Bolt, Steven Spielberg J.K. Rowling revolutionized the cultural domain. The fastest man in the world, has become an icon because he has succeded to made world record and he has made a new challenge for every atlete. Spielberg is a famous american sciences fiction film maker, he created famous film like « jaws » and «  indiana jones ». When to J.K Rowling she is the richest writer in the world, she imagined the magic world of Harry Potter and she created a dreamworld for the reader. She has become an icon because her novels has inspired people everywhere in world.

Finally a person can be considered as one heroin thanks to its success in its professional career like Bill Gates, Steve Jobs or Oprah Winfrey, three philantropist. Bill Gates created Microsoft and he is the richest man in the world. Steve Jobs is the creator of Apple and Oprah Winfrey is one of the most influential people through the media in USA. This people can be considered as heroes thanks to their professional success, to the hard work as well as to their faith and their motivation which they supply to succeed.
