Poor grammar skills or bad punctuation can be risky and make you lose all of your credibility. At any age, one’s can improve his writing skills. Here is the top ten writing tips that will make you improve your writing tips.

1) Write as often as possible. Like in any sports, the more you practice the better you become!

2) Think before writing. Before beginning your writing, take time to think about the topic and the things you want to write about. Ask yourself questions, for example “In what order am I going to write my ideas?”

3) Put yourself in the place of the person reading you. While writing, ask yourself if what you are writing can be understand by another reader.

4) Keep it simple. Don’t do long sentences (more than two lines for a single sentence is too much. The ideal is to alternate long and short sentences.

5) Do not use words you are not comfortable with. You may confuse your readers or even confuse yourself.

6) Care the presentation. Writing is also about writing clearly and cleanly. The presentation of a writing is also part of the your reader’s understanding.

7) Don’t use too much adverbs. Replace them with verbs instead.

8) Accept criticism. Ask someone to read you writing and ask for his or her opinions. They can give you valuable advices and help you improve your writing skills.

9) Keep a diary. The practice of writing everyday can have beneficial effects on the way you writ and communicate.

10) Read other people’s work. You can learn from others, especially by reading them. It can teach you a new writing style and give some ideas.
