CONCLUSION

INTRODUCTION

Everyone knows that a healthy and balanced food is important to be in good health. Our food indeed enables us to obtain essential nutrients for our body. The absorption of the nutrients is done in the digestive system. After ingestion, they play a significant role in many body processes, are used to ensure our physiological needs, such as the growth, the development and the metabolism.

I/ - VARIOUS TYPES OF NUTRIENTS

The nutrients are organic or mineral substances which are directly assimilable by the organization. These elements are essential at the living organism to maintain the life. They are represented by the amino-acids (exits of the digestion of proteins), the fatty-acids (resulting from the digestion of the lipids), glucids simple (resulting from digestion from sugars and starchy foods), the vitamins, minerals and water. Other elements major in the food are the fibres which are the indigestible part of the plants. Indeed, not being absorbed not the intestinal cells, they remain in the digestive tract where they play a significant role in the regulation of the intestinal transit time. II/ -  VITAMINS

The vitamins are essential nutrients for our body. They are important for the growth, the recovery and the good performance of the organization. They are also necessary to maintain a good health. The vitamins are naturally present in our food, in particular in the fruits, vegetables and the bread. The body is unable to produce them or in very insufficient quantity to meet the needs. To receive sufficient vitamins by the means of the food, it is important to eat healthy and varied with the daily newspaper.

For its contribution in vitamins, the body is depend on the food. Only the vitamin D and the vitamin K can be partially generated by the body itself. The quantity of vitamins present in food varies considerably. It is thus not only important to eat healthy but also to vary your daily food. The people who must give an attention very particular to their contribution in vitamins are the vegetarians and the vegan ones.

  1. - Thirteen various types of vitamins

There exist thirteen vitamins, of which four are liposoluble and nine are water-soluble. The liposoluble vitamins are the vitamin A, the vitamin D, the vitamin E and the vitamin K. They are mainly in the fat of the nutrients and can be stored in fabrics of the body. The water-soluble vitamins are the vitamins B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B8, B9 (folic acid), B12 and C. These vitamins are precisely in the water contained by food. The body cannot store them well (except for the B12 vitamin).

III/ - WHAT IS THE MINERALS ?

The minerals are nutrients necessary to the good performance of the human body. They are inter alia necessary for the regulation of the enzymes and the hormones. Like the vitamins, the minerals are substances which the organization cannot produce itself. For this reason, they must be brought in sufficient quantity by your food.

In the body, the minerals are absorbed via the small intestine. For an optimal absorption, they must be present in a “soluble” form.

  1. - How much are there minerals ?

The most known minerals are: calcium, sodium, potassium and magnesium. Moreover, the body needs modest amounts of iron, iodine, fluorine, zinc, copper, manganese, chromium and molybdenum. These substances are called trace element. The difference between minerals and trace elements is the quantity necessary to the daily newspaper. The organization needs more than minerals than of trace elements.

IV/ - WHAT IS THE ESSENTIAL FATTY-ACIDS ?

There are two essential fatty-acids: the omega-3 and the omega-6. These fatty-acids are essential because the human body cannot produce them itself, in spite of the fact that it needs some to function correctly. It is thus important that the fatty-acids omega-3 and omega-6 are present in our food.

These essential fatty-acids take part in a bunch of important processes: the constitution and integrity of the cellular membranes, the good performance of the systems cardiovascular, cerebral, hormonal and inflammatory. The sources of omega 3 are animal (in the form of EPA and DHA) and vegetable (in the form of alpha-linoleic acid). The sources of omega 6 are exclusively vegetable (in the form of linoleic acid).
