Bentley is a car manufacturer of luxury and running, based in England, to Crewe. This company was created by Walter Owen Bentley, on 18th January 1919 at the end of the World War.

Since 1998, Bentley is a part of the germain group Volkswagen.

The creator was fascinated by boat but he worked in aeronautics.

In 1910, he buys a garage specialized in sports cars. In the war, Walter work at a aircraft manufacturer who turned in full speed.

Walter stands out by installing aluminium pistons.

Walter Owen Bentley was born on September 18th, 1888 in an easy family. He died on August 2, 1971. It was an English engineer, founder of the legendary car brand. He became very passionate about mechanics, among other things about trains. At the age of 16, he joined the Great Northern Railway. During the First World War, he worked for an aircraft engine manufacturer

3- Evolution de la marque

The first car was the Bentley 3 Litres. Is a luxury sport built between1921 and 1928; it is the first model developed by the British car manufacturer Bentley, founded two years earlier by Walter Owen Bentley. Manufactured with rigour and endurance in the race, the 3 Litre quickly seduces a wealthy clientele consisting among other gentlemen drivers.

As a result, Canadian John Duff acquires one and aligns it at the start of the 2nd edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans 1924, a 24 hour endurance race on the Sarthe circuit. In a duet with British rider Frank Clement, Duff wins the event, convincing the founder of Bentley to create a race stable; the 3 Litre thus signs at the 24 Hours of Le Mans 1924 the first victory of Bentley in automotive competition

Bentley en 2019

To distinguish its 100 year old product models, Bentley will propose a specific customization in 2019 for its entire range. In addition, a Mulsanne limited to 100 copies will be produced.

Bentley will be celebrating its centennial in 2019 and acquirers of a vintage model will be able to take advantage of it to make it even more exclusive. More than a limited series, all copies of the year will propose the option «Centenary Specification» that will add some distinctive customization details.

On the outside, the badges will be gold and will be polished for an exacerbated shine. The one placed above the grille will include the years 1919 and 2019, as will the door thresholds.

All embroidered scriptures will be in gold with written Centenary Gold
