Kevin : Hello everyone, it’s your favorite host Mr.jarnoux here on BBC One, today we’re Welcoming Mr. “Gouillard”, director of Michelin, who’s here to talk to us about his company. Hello mr. « Gouillard» , how are you doing today ?

Alexis : I’m good, Thank you so much for having me here today

Kevin : No problem, have a seat.  So where are you located exactly mr “Gouillard”

Alexis : Michelin was created on May 28, 1889 and is headquartered in Clermont Ferrand.  There are 69 factories in the world

Kevin : Oh i’ve been to France when I was younger, heard it’s lovely this time of the year

Alexis : Sure it is

Kevin : So what’s your company main activity ?

Alexis : Tire production for cars and trucks accounts for 86% of our business, the remaining 14% is for the manufacture of tires for civil engineering equipment, agricultural machinery, airplanes and spacecraft. Without forgetting the Michelin guide

Kevin : All right interesting, how many people are working in you factories  ?

Alexis : Michelin represent 125 400  people in the world,  half of them in Europe

Kevin : So if you don’t mind me asking, do you have any huge competitors in this field ?

Alexis : Oh no I don’t mind, our biggest competitors are Bridgestone and Goodyear

Kevin : And what’s your future ambition within the company, do you plan on expanding or something ?

Alexis : Our ambition is to develop tubeless tires as you can see on the screen !
