PLACES AND EXCHANGES

The notion I'm going to deal with is the notion of places and exchanges. In the past, communicating, exchanging information with people abroad was complicated because of the distance. But today, the world has never seemed smaller : importation, exportation, telecommunication have accelerated the rymthm of exchanges between different areas and reduce the scale of our world.

This acceleration is mostly due to the creation of Internet then the social networks. First, the internet is an excellent tool fro the research of information and for knowledge. The internet can entertain, thanks to it we can have fun, play, watch movies. The internet is a good way of communication : it allows us to stay in touch with our friends and our family , to talk to them on real time, to share our experiences, tastes, memories thanks to the social networks. Internet can also bring us to make new meeting all over the world. Thanks to the net, we can have a lot of information. Internet offers a trusted way to store our important files on well protected servers. Internet gives us access to more and more innovative services such as high-definition, conference call, teleworking. Besides, the internet favors nex sorts of buiness ( e-commerce )  which allows to purchase any article all over the world.

 But Internet contains some limits. Internet can lead to an addiction and prevent dependent people from developping real realationship by imprisoning them into virtual relation. The internet can be used by bad people who try to swindle, too deceive and steal other people. Children in particular, are easy potential targets. All the data which circulates on the net is not ethical and favorable there are pornographic sites, ectremist sites, viruses, hackers, criminal networks.  The net can make accesible dangerous data : terrorist learn how to create explosives. Our privacy can be revealated which can damage the person. Especially as the net keeps all the infomation. Internet can also favor bad habits, it can promote sendentary life and as a result obesity.

To conclude, Internet is a good tool and it has so many advantages but we need to be careful and mostly the children who have to use internet with the surveillance of the parents.
