Introduction .
I am going to talk about myths and heroes
First of all I would like to give a definition of the notion of Myths and heroes.
A Heroe is a person who is admired for their courage, good actions , or noble qualities. It can be the main character in a book or a film or a person with superhuman qualities .
A Myths is a wonderful narration starring characters with divine or heroic qualities. It can be a fictional story or a literary or artistic personnage that embodies some universal aspect of the human condition.
To what extent could we say that superheroes embody the American values and patriotism ?
First, I am going to talk about a fictional hero, Captain America and the reason of this creation .
Secondly i'm going to explain why captain america is a superhero based on American values and used as a figure of american patriotism.
Finally, I will develop the fact that captain america is use as an object of propaganda.

I) The creation of Captain America
Captain America is a fictional character from the comic strips by Marvel Comic who was created by Joe Simon and Jack Kirby .This man is an American soldier , indeed he wears a mask and a shield . His outfit is a costume with the colours of the american flag , blue white and red. Morever we can identify stars in the costume , so they are the symbol of the sucess of america and the colours can mean that this man could be seen as a guardian of the United states .
The comic strips was first published in March 1941 during the second World war .
The date of its publication is symbolic because at the time , America was at war against Germany and nazism , therefore the publication of comics had several purposes .
On the one hand , the purpose of the publication was to unite people behind the war effort .
They were united through the figure of Captain America because he was a symbol of the strenght of the Us Army.
The purpose was also to highlight the power and the grandeur of the united states , because CA. represented the model of the American soldier , so brave and strong .
On the other hand, the publication of this comic allowed to portray the enemy as immoral and brutal , and consequently , to assure the population that the Allies were figting for a just cause .
II) Captain America the embodiement of american values
Captain America is the embodiement of the American values .
Indeed, he was created to symbolize american patriotism because he protected the united states as a guardian of his nation .
Captain America was ready to die to protect his nation ,and was therefore an example to the american who should be patriot . As such , He was invented during the second world war to highlight the strength of America and to intimidate the ennemies .
