The need to regulate the metaverse :

According to the United Arab Emirates’ minister of state for articficial intelligence said that the realistic nature of metaverse can terrifying people, especially with the murders because you will see yourself being killed and develop post traumatic stress disorder because of it. Metaverse can also according to him push people to be more violent in the real world because of unacceptable things that you will experiment.

So he conclude that we need to instore international safety standards for the metaverse that people must adhere no matter where they live, Chris Cox the chief product officer at Meta totally agree with him and said that it will probably have like a rating system for it.

According to Louis Rosenberg an expert of the Metaverse we need to regulate the platform providers because they will have too much informations on the users and will be able to see where they are or whith who they are but also inject content into the users’world. Second him regulation has to happen now to prevent it from happening the same that with social medias that is to say that the big companies built their business around tracking and targeting the users. If we regulate the Metaverse right now we have better chance at having these platforms behave in ways that are good for consumers.

Doc 2 : can metaverse crimes have real world consequence ?

Actually there is a lot of complaint about assault and harassment in the virtual world, metaverses, but in reality these assault aren't crimes for the justice and there is no local police to at least make a justice inside the metaverse there is only some safety measure like mute or block someone, teleport yourself into safe zone or being able to stay 4 feet away from other player.

But real justice is impossible cause there is no proof since the game isn't non-stop recorded, so it can only lead to “she said, he said” case, and justice don't really care about that, it's just a video game, no case ever made it to court
