Spaces and exchanges

I'm going to talk about the notion Spaces and exchanges. To begin with, I'd like to give a definition of exchange. The different spaces of the world are nowadays more and more connected to each other. The exchanges can appear on many forms: people, information. The theme of immigration is linked to this notion as it implies the motion of legal and illegal people to other countries. Immigration implies in this context moving from dream to disillusion. We will focus on the journey of immigrants to the USA by showing the pros and of these trips. In search of the American dream. First of all, we studied a video about the Natives and the problems they have faced so far.

At the beginning, the people who started to live in America were Asian Indians. Then they have acquired their own customs and traditions to cope with the environment and living conditions they had to face. Brief, they managed to build up their own culture, political system, traditions and lifestyle. Actually, they weren’t savages as some people pretend. Indeed, we studied a video about the Native. Marlon Brando considered as the greatest movie actor of all time. Marlon Brando talks about the treatment of Native Americans or Indians at the hands of white colonialists and the values of freedom and equality in USA. The only purpose is to educate people about true history as opposed to the history fed into the minds of people by film and education media. He read a book and said that the Indians had been tragically misrepresented in film or history book, and he finally said that the Americans must reeducate now, they had to change the mentalities. The Europeans begun to settle in the so-called “New World”, they contaminated the Native and therefore most of the latters died.

Moreover, the Europeans new settlers slaughtered, massacred most of the Native who survived to their diseases simply because the conflit was unfair.

The Europeans had guns whereas the Indians only arrows.

So obviously the Native have been defeated by the Europeans.

Nowadays people are much broadminded. Immigrants are considered a threat. Cultural barriers were much harder than this is basically due to the communication progress and globalization.

Currently, the Americans were immigrants themselves. Moreover, they came by force and have killed the Native Americans so they are illegal immigrants, then, why do they refuse to let immigrants settle in the country now? Immigrants suffer in the USA. They are unpopular and will never be accepted by almost the majority of the population, which is very sad.

The newcomers came out of nowhere for the Native Americans and took over their place, their territory, and claim that this situation is normal. The Native are going to be ordered out the country and it doesn’t matter for the Pilgrim Fathers. We studied a cartoon who shows the Pilgrim Fathers coming to the US when they were stopped by the Native Americans who asked then for their resident card because they needed some identification. The message is obviously ironical.

But it’s true that on one side, to live in the United States is an advantage, who immigrant brings to many opportunities. Chances are multiple and for anyone! You must know that there is a difference between legal immigrants and illegal immigrants. Being an immigrant living legally live "the American dream ", he will live his life all prosperity. Some immigrants leave their country to live in the United States, life is simpler than in their country of origin.
