The firm:

I had my professional experience with the NUFARM company, located outside the small town of

Aubevoye. This company is also located on the bank of the river Seine..

Nufarm is a company specialised in the development, manufacturing and marketing of its customers'

solutions, products for plant protection and the maintenance of public garden spaces. This company

operates in the sector of the chemical industry in France. In this company I was associated with the

general maintenance department and we could do electricity, mechanics, automation instrumentation

and project manager. For going to my work, I take my bike or my parent’s car’s and I have a 15

minute drive. During my job training period, I was told to shadow four technicians who were each

responsible for the maintenance department. My tutor advised me on my work to do in the company

but also advised me on my future studies. My task was to analyse and do the work required. I had to

deal with unforeseen events with leaks on valves and breakages of high voltages lines.

The staff:

In the factory of the company Nufarm there are a hundred people. There were mainly men rather than

women in this factory. I worked in pairs but we are part of a team of four people. My tutor and

coworkers were cool and caring. They were proud to learn techniques and learn from me.I made

friends because at the coffee breaks or cigarette breaks the workers were very welcoming and warm.

regrouping Day between the Factory, Where i am and the head office, Where based in Paris, and this

Day was very cool,

The working conditions:

I did Work indoors, on an automated machine and outdoors for Example on the Electric All network. in

General everything is clean, cold and hot dePending On the Outside climate. It's Noisy in the

Production building But silent in the office. It's Tidy and Organised to be as comfortable as Possible,

We worked from 8 a.m. Until Noon and from 1 p.m. Until 4 p.m. in the afternoon. We had one Hour

lunch, break and the morning coffee break As Well as cigarettes for smokers
