  1. Profile Of The Host Organization

I will be discussing the general idea of the profile of the organizations which includes the brief history, the purpose, the approximate number of employees in the organization, and a brief description of the type of customers, how the work is divided , and finally describing the department I worked in.

1) History of Tokyo Zone in Lebanon

Tokyo zone is a relatively new business that was founded in the year 2016. At first the business started as a store to sell used bicycles of all types and brands that are shipped from japan. In the middle of 2017 the owner of the flourishing new business decided to diversify and started to ship other products like motorcycle parts, furniture, farming equipment, and artifact. The first branch opened in Beirut Hamra Street, the store opened its second branch in marlias but after only 8 month the owner decided to close the second branch and expand its original store and improve it.

2) Mission of Tokyo Zone in Lebanon

Tokyo Zone’s mission is to allow people to have access to all sort of products from technology to furniture or hardware stuff but not have to pay enormous amount of money to have them. That why all the product are sold used but in 100% working conditions and on top of that sold at the lowest prices.

3) Tokyo Zone Employees

The business is considerably medium sized so there is not a high number of employees like you normally find.

 3.1) we have two people in charge of all the testing and repair of the products

3.3) there is the operational manager that is responsible of everything that happens

3.4) we also have two people in charge of sales department

3.5) the final employee is the marketing employee and the photographer.

4) Classification of Customers

Almost half of the shops sales are sports equipment, more precisely bicycles. We try to satisfy the need od all income type people .The average age is 20 to late 30’s

Other products such as motorcycle parts have a different demographic of customers. They are mainly people of medium income, male, and approximate age of 30 to 50.

We also have industrial and farming equipment that are mostly sold for people living outside of the city and large land owners.

The last type of products we sell which is furniture and artifacts are mainly sold to newly married people between the ages of 20 to 30.

5) Roles of each department and my contribution in mine

5.1)sales department: are responsible of taking care of the customers’ demands                      

                                          Help them decide which products suits them

                                          Highly trained in communication skills and persuasion  

5.2)The maintenance and repair department: First people that see and test the            

                                                                        product and repair them if needed                                                                        

                                                                        Teach sales workers how they’re used

5.3)The marketing department: Is responsible of managing the social media page

                                                   Answering al the comments of the possible clients

                                                    Managing all the promotions and sales

6) Description of the department I worked in

Operational department has several roles that they have to do which include recruiting and assigning schedules as well as planning and monitoring the operation of the organization .maintain a safe and healthy working environment for everyone.Managing staffs wages and working hour’s .supervising all the different departments and ensuring the smooth functioning in all departments and factors o the company.

  1. Tasks

In this part I will be speaking to you about three main points which consists of the role I played in the organization I worked at and the reason I choose this job as well and finally I will talk about the results achieved from this job.

1) Role played at my job.

While working at Tokyo Zone in Lebanon I took the position of operational manager of the organization as my role consisted of different parts and I will be talking about all the roles that came with my job title.

  1. Determine goods and services to be sold, and set prices and credit terms, based on forecast of customers demand
  1. Determine staffing requirements and interview, hire and oversee those personnel process

  1. Direct and coordinate activities of the business or departments concerned with pricing, sales, and supplying the products
  1. Establish and implement department policies , goals , objectives , and procedures after discussing with the owners .
  1. Locate, select, and procure products for resale
  1. Responsible on observing or doing the negotiations
  1. Being the representative of the organizations when needed
  1. Manage staff, prepare work schedules and assign specific duties to everyone
  1. Oversee the activities directly related to getting the products or everything related to the customer services
  1. Help plan and direct activityes related to sales promotions and coordinate
