Presentation of Engel & Völkers

  1. Presentation of the group

Engel & Völkers is one of the world’s leading luxury service companies specialized in the brokerage of premium residential property, commercial real estate, yachts and aircraft. Based in over 800 locations in total, Engel & Völkers offers both private and corporate clientele a professionally tailored range of services. Consultancy, sales and leasing forms the core competences of the staff of more than 10,000 employees. The Company is currently operating in over 30 countries on four continents. Intensive training schemes in its in-house real estate Academy and the high level of quality assurance governing its systematically structured service provision are key factors that account for the Company’s success.

The company was founded in 1977 and provides real estate licenses since 1998.  The company is managed by Christian Völkers, who has founded Engel & Völkers AG in Hamburg some 40 years ago and developed the company into an international brand. Chairmanship of the Management Board is shared by Christian Völkers and Sven Odia. Together they have overall responsibility for the management of the entire company. 

The other members of the Board are Kai Enders, Thilo von Trotha und Christian Evers.

Engel & Völkers Westlake Village is a full-service luxury real estate organization. It reprsents a diversified team of highly competent and knowledgeable professionals servicing Westlake Village, Lake Sherwood, Hidden Valley, Thousand Oaks, Hidden Hills, Calabasas and Malibu; the aforementioned locations are in the Los Angeles and Ventura County areas of Southern California. The company places the highest priority on providing premium service in fulfilling its clients’ property sales and acquisition, investment opportunities, and architectural and design services. The advisors have sold some of the highest priced properties in the areas of Sherwood, North Ranch (in Westlake Village) and in Malibu. For the past twenty years, Engel & Völkers has represented individuals, families, sports figures and celebrities. With the array of professional expertise. Engel & Völkers Westlake Village is committed to achieving the most successful real estate results for their clients.

Mission Project

  1. The mission

In our current societal state, social media platforms offer a significant way to gain visibility and increase consumer interaction in the marketplace. More than tools, social media networks present organizations and communities with authentic professional interactions and possibilities. In this situation the social platforms needs to be managed to perfection to accrue real results. there exists many avenues to improve your own image and reputation on social networks from a professional aspect.

Social media platforms are used for the creation of an online persona (e reputation), to interact with a particular community, to increase notoriety/following, to generate new potentials leads, to create an image or narrative and to shine within the network, to increase visibility by presenting expertise in a domain of work, and to measure the engagement of followers. by increasing views with engaging posts, articles or pictures, individuals are more likely to interact with agents, and therefore, generate increased business.

I will conduct a course called “The Social Media landscape: What a post can do for your pocket book” for our advisors with the goal of giving them the keys to manage their social networks to perfection.

Why?

In our field, social media platforms are a very simple (and cheap) way to accomplish marketing and communication for an advisors business. For our advisors who are trying to sell or buy properties and to obtain new listings, social media platforms are a wonderful tool to assist with discovering customers (generating leads), finding out the latest property sales and the most recent news in general about them. By utilizing social networks, it could be easier for advisors to increase their visibility and to obtain new leads. However, advisors don’t always manage networks to their full potential, and the advisor will miss out on many unrealized opportunities for their business. In addition, though many advisors currently use  social media platforms, they are not aware of all the advanced functions they contain and disseminating this knowledge will allow them to explore new opportunities.

What?

Our course will be presented in lessons to teach step-by-step instructions for the usage of social media by differing platforms and positive development within the utilization of them. Our agents are not always at the office, so this course will be proposed by a mail campaign and allow them the opportunity to opt-in if they would like to. Moreover, this course will teach best practices with each social network because each has his own requirements and idiosyncrasies.

Who?

This course will be conducted for all of our advisors.
