Men have always been passionate by engine. We made great progress in the lifestyle of people, mostly with the invention of the cars and the motorcycles. These two inventions saved a lot of time and energy to people who have to move and travel frequently. So in this text, we will compare sport motorcycles and sport cars about their performance, their cost and the security of each. We will use the point method to compare these two things.

First of all, let’s talk about the performance. The performance of a bike is really impressive. For example, a Yamaha R1, a sport bike, can make 0 to 100 kilometer per hour in less than 3 seconds, which is faster than almost all sport vehicles. The advantage of the motorcycle is its light weight compares to the car, and that is why the acceleration is so insane. The car is more heavy and the acceleration is not good as the bike (for example a Porsche 911 make the 0 to 100 km/h in approximately 5 seconds), but in corners the cars is better because it has better brakes and a better stability ( 4 wheels compare to 2 wheels).

Second of all, we will talk about the cost. If we continue with the models with took sooner, the Yamaha R1 and the Porsche 911, the price of a new Yamaha R1 2013 is approximately 15 000 $, which is kind of expensive but compare to the Porsche 911, that is 96 200$, it’s nothing if we consider the performance of the R1. But, the problems with the bike, it’s that there is only place for two persons maximum, plus, you cannot bring a lot of things excepted in your back pack and that you can’t ride it during the winter. The Porsche is way more expensive, but you can be 4 or 5 persons in it, and you can bring more things than a single back pack. The Porsche is neither made for the winter, but you could drive it easier than a bike during the cold season.

Finally, we’ll compare the security of each. The bike is dangerous than the car. The bike has no airbags, no seat belt and no metal frame like the car to keep you in during accident. So basically, when you get an accident while driving a bike, your chances of being intact after are practically at 0%. Whether, you get ejected of the bike or slide on the hot asphalt and burn your skin. You can reduce your risk to burn your skin by wearing a tick leather coat. It’s way easier to fell from the bike than to fell from a car. In the car there is airbags, seat belts and you cannot be injected so easily as the bike. In a car you are more protected but you are far to be invincible.

In conclusion, we compared the motorcycles and the cars on different subject, which is: the performance, the cost and the security. We can tell that the bike has better performance for a price way smaller than the car, but the car has more place, is bigger and the car is less dangerous than the bike.
