The power of speech

In our society and our globalized world each nation is linked with each others. However some inequalities are still persisting and some NGO as the ONU have been created to face those problems. Indeed there is a big contrast between developed and emerging countries where famine, child mortality or poverty are rampant. So it seems obvious that decisions which are taken by the different nations have a big impact on people’s life. As an example we could take the Rio’ Summit where 8 goals were set up by the head of states.

Thus we wonder what is the power of good oral skills?

In the first part we will study the different goals behind and in a second part we will see the crucial importance of a good speech.

1) The goals behind

The decisions which are taken by the ONU have the most of the time big impact on the situation. Thanks to the huge amount of money it owns and can ask to the different members.

For example my group and I are representing India and with our research we have seen that the action lead by the ONU have profoundly changed the situation in the field of child mortality the rate went from 60 to 53 per 1000 births.

We also underline in a more general way that the goals are different. Indeed they concern environement, social, economy and try to keep in mind the sustainable development: the objective is to response to our necessity and simultaneously care about the future generations.

Then we can’t ignore the eight goals which were set up during the Rio paramount. During this summit a lot of measures about developement and environnement have been taken . These measures are called Agenda 21 , 21 means the century.
