After world war II there was the creation of a partnership between the european countries. In 1957 the european economic community was created by the treaty of Rome and then few years after became the european union in 1993. this partnership is economical, political and cultural between those 28 countries including the united kingdom which became a member of it on january 1973.

But since the referundum of june 2016, the United Kingdom is leaving the european union, it is called the BREXIT which means the BRITAIN EXIT.

We are going to see how it works and what are the consequences for Europe and United Kingdom.

David Cameron th ex prime minister, promised during his campaign in 2015, that he will do a referundum about leaving or remaining in the european union. He had done the referundum on june june 2016 and 51,9% of the population decided to leave the european union. The third document shows us that northern countries of the united kingdom are more favourable to leave the E.U than the southern countries. Furthermore we can see on the fourth document that the conservative party represents 40% of who voted for leaving the E.U.

David cameron was the leader of the conservative party but didn't want to leave the european union because after his election his had more power on political life seeing as he was the prime minister but he resigned after the results of the referundum and said that britain needs an another leader. And Theresa May has succeeded him.

People want to leave the european union to have better life conditions especially by saving money that's to say by stop giving money to the E.U and the government wants to take his own decisions about his country like controlling immigration and his own borders. Those who want to leave the european union thought that their life conditions will be better after the brexit because the country will be able to save more money and to spend it for the population like by building more hospitals and more schools.

The United Kingdom started to leave the european union from march 2017 until march 2019, it's allowed them to negociate their exit with Europe. Theresa May, the prime minister of Britain is in charge of the negociations for the Britain side and for Europe that's to say the 27 other countries Michel Barnier is in charge of it.

In fact the brexit involves many negociations kind political, economical or culturals. It is mentionned on the article 50 of the european union treated which was created only in 2010.

Both have to find agreements about the free movement of the european people, plus the statut of european who immigrate in Britain and the british who immigrate in Europe. Then they have to negociate the sum of money that they have to give to the european union to offset their engagement in europe until 2020. But the atmosphere between both is strained so there will be a post brexit until december 2020
