I Christopher Blair

1. Who is he?

Christopher Blair, a man who lives in Maine, has a family and seems any. But, there is a story behind him. He achieved internet fame for “goating” on Facebook pages. Since the 2016 election, he wrote more than 100 stories that are either entirely made up or deliberately misleading

2. Why is he so famous?

Example: On Mar. 4, a website run by an American who identifies himself as “Busta Troll” published a completely false story claiming the FBI had a warrant for Barack Obama’s arrest for illegally wiretapping Donald Trump. His website, TheLastLineOfDefense.org, is among the biggest sources of fake news online. Blair operates under a series of pen names — Ezekiel Wilekenmeyer, Christopher Lyman, Stryker, Busta Troll — but PolitiFact, which has been debunking his stories for months, pieced together his true identity. According to the Washington Post, this Facebook page is now the most popular social network among pro-Trump conservatives over the age of 55. Some months, the page attracts up to six million visitors and can generate up to $15,000 in advertising revenue. His memes are often reused on Russian or Macedonian fake news sites.

“Despite the impressive level of racism, intolerance and abusive content, people continued to read us, Blair wrote on a blog. What is the limit? Is there a time when people realize that they are being told bollocks and finally decide to go back to reality?” C.Blair
