This text is an excerpt from Edgar Allan's "The Heart of the Story" and was published in 1843 at The Pioneer in the United States. Indeed, Edgar Allan Poe was born on January 19, 1809 in Boston and died in Baltimore on October 7, 1849. He is a poet, novelist, literary critic, playwright and American publisher, and one of the main figures of American Romanticism. Thus famous works such as "The Murders in the Street Morgue", considered the first detective novel, was published in 1841 and was published in 1841 and entitled "The Raven" quickly became famous. In addition, it has an important influence in the United States and the rest of the world, not only on literature, but also in other artistic fields such as film and music or in scientific fields.

"The story tale" is a new part of the horror genre written in the first person. Indeed, the author played on stage a narrator who stopped directly to the reader of his crime with relieving his conscience. Thus, in this story, there is a moment when the main character is the narrator who commits the crime and therefore on which focuses the whole plot. Then on the old man and finally the police. The story begins with a questioning and the narrator who asks himself about his state of mind. This is how he was asked "crazy". Then, he begins by telling his story by mentioning the reason why he wonders so much. So, did the eye of the old man with whom he lived resemble this one? The narrator decides to kill him. Every day at night for seven days we will try to see the eye that tormented but the old man was sleeping and the narrator could not see the eye that was preventing him from killing. But on the eighth day of the night was a man awakened from the narrator's going into his room. Then, perceiving the evil eye, he throws himself on the old man and kills him, dismembers him, and buries him under the floor. This is how the neighbors heard the police call themselves. Upon their arrival at their death, death and death, the house confident of his crime that he is described as perfect. However, it was understood that the crime was over.

In addition, I think the story was written in first person with the impression of being in the place of the narrator. Thus, in the first lines, the fact that the narrator has stopped on his condition has challenged us, that the problem was addressed by the narrative is exactly the mental state of the narrator. The narrator seems to suffer from loneliness. This is it the narrator mention all other members of a family or friends. All that means is that this plan is meant to be killed and nothing is made visible by its loneliness and confinement. Solitude and madness allow us to think that the narrator is paranoid. We can see with the eye of the man who was told harmless created in him a fear. It is with this in mind that one of the elements mentioned above has been sent to the narrator and that it remains to be done. Also, we can think of the presence of police. The return to reality for the narrator. .

To conclude, I think the outcome is a bit simple for a kind of horror. Indeed, I would have liked to see the narrator continue in his crime and his madness that is to say he kills the police that he himself was supposed to be unmasked. Which would like an end with an interesting sequel.
