The jousting contest

This scene will represent the jousting battle between the protagonist Matthew with an interne point of view, and his opponent Edward in a sand park with grandstands.

"It was going to be my moment." thought Matthew.

All the spectators were watching them from the grandstands, yelling and deploying their ribbons.

The Matthew's opponent was straight up on his mount, spear perfectly perpendicular to the ground and pointing at him. He was waiting. He was sure of himself because no one had ever won against him.

In the other side of the place, mounting on his big black horse, Matthew took a long breath, pushing his stomach against his armor. The dancers, who were finishing their introductory show, left the stage and a heavy calm began to be felt. Everyone began to focus on the fight that was coming to them, their breath cut short: the jousting was going to start.

Matthew slowly raised his weapon towards his opponent, and when he was ready, the whistle blew, and the knights began to gallop facing each other. Matthew squinted his eyes to make a better shot at Edward and made more and more speed in the sand park. But in a second, he received a kick in the stomach, his body was expelled from the horse, and he fell violently to the ground. Before he could understand his defeat, he was unconscious. His opponent starts brandishing his weapon upwards, galloping in the sand park, and the audience acclaimed him "Once a victor, always a victor! ...", throwing the ribbons on the stage.
