Andrea Crews federates and joins with actors of the contemporary cultural scene: artists, stylists, video directors, Djs, coming from different horizons, but stemming from the same popular and eccentric, experimental and playful culture... It surrounds the public space and interferes in the fashionmarket,

by proposing alternatives having an original social impact. In opposition to the dominant uniformity, Andrea Crews highlights personal creativity, experimentation and independence.

It touches everything, fashion, art, music, likes partying and gets wet without complex.

The excessive consumption of clothes creates, every season, tons of secondhand clothes. Charities get back these worn clothes. This surplus is used by several manners: a part is given to their beneficiaries in cloakrooms and fairs, and the other one is resold to make some paper and rags . The rest is thrown.

It is this material that we revalue by transforming it, by offering it a new cycle of exploitation and distribution.

Andrea Crews's project bases on the use and the reinterpretation of the second-hand garment, it is a social, economic and ethical choice. Andrea Crews transforms tons of secondhand clothes into unique pieces, chic and trendy.

Within the workshop, around the heap of clothes, the raw material, Andrea Crews

settles sewing machines and creates experimental collections.

Beyond a simple craze for the vintage, the concept " post-vintage " of Andrea Crews is more than ever of current events. More than a simple appropriation, she proposes a reinterpretation.

Andrea Crews crystallizes a way of action which originality lies in its process of creation. This second-hand raw material encourages experimentation. Andrea Crews proposes an alternative on the fashionmarket and the ready-to-wear clothing.

The force of its clothing resides in their difference, because wearing a piece of ANDREA CREWS, is representing another way of consuming, esthetical and ethical, a contemporary need.

First brand of recycled clothing, Andrea Crews from day to day creates single and flexible clothing and accessories.

A production which is freed from the traditional criterias which govern the market: calendar, profitability, seduction of the masses; a style which is asserted graphic, ludic and inconventional!

Founder and designer of Andrea Crews, Maroussia Rebecq, thinks and transforms progressively their arrivals delivered in the workshop.

Each piece is treated one by one according to the potentiality of the clothe and the stylist desires. The results are indeed unforeseeable, strange, tempting and daring.

Dipping into several sources of inspirations, Andrea Crews uses fragments of a sub-culture counting comics, mystic rastafary frescos, fanzines, scribbles, cut-up porn, electro rhythms, punk flyers … GranPa trousers
