We will explore 3 different factors: junk food, advertisement, working conditions and all that will be related to the globalization.

During the last decades as you know globalization is dominating not only our world but also our food. Junk food is the symbol of the last 20 years; it plays a major role in obesity.

- Cardio-vascular problems

- Addiction to that food, can find them everywhere

- Increase of the portions

- Prices decreasing when u buy more

Nowadays in an average family both parents are working, and they are working quite a lot. All this implies that people don’t have time to cook. They don’t have the same amount of time as they had before:

- Using take always not homemade meals

- No more vegetables: long to cook

- Fast food at lunch

- Expensive to buy biological or healthy food

- People don’t know how to cook, buy cheap food that is made with not god product or more greasy ingredients

Globalization can also have a direct impact on obesity. With advertisement we are being manipulated in order to buy things that we don’t need, that are more or less cheap, and that are particularly harmful for us.

- Advertisement: going to buy stuff that seems attractive, not so expensive, but we don’t know what is put inside

- Became a market: “biological and trendy healthy shops” more expensive than mac Donald’s for example

- Even when you don’t think about food, ads attract you

- Buying more shows your wealth..

To put in a nutshell, Obesity can be originated from a genetic cause. However, the origin of that dramatic rise came from the growing place of the consumer society, and especially the globalization. This percentage can’t stop growing, and we really need to find a solution to stop this disaster.
